Server Outage 11 July (NZT) |
2010-07-07: On Sunday 11th July between 12:00 and 14:00 NZT (GMT +12:00) we will be migrating our server to a new platform provided by DigiWeb in Christchurch, NZ.
The new platform uses IBM’s enterprise class X-series 3550-M2 server utilising Intel’s latest Nehalem Xeon architecture. As part of this migration we are separating our web and database services across multiple servers to provide best possible performance plus improved reliability and redundancy.
During the period of migration no Seekom services will be available. This includes the administration, booking engine, sales channel management services, Seekom hosted CMS websites as well as all XML services.
Those of you using our channel management services may find that channel bookings taken during this period revert to email or fax notification. In most cases these bookings will load automatically into the Seekom system within approximately 30 minutes of the system restarting. However, bookings not showing in Seekom after this time should be loaded manually via the administration system (or the public booking screens) from the details provided to you by the channel.
While we are allowing up to 2 hours for the migration we aim to keep the outage as short as possible and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
