GDS Distribution and Representation

Auctas Hotel Distribution connects hotels, apartments, motels and small accommodation providers with over 800,000 travel agents worldwide via the four major GDS (Global Distribution Systems) Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus and Worldspan via our simple to use SynXis Central Reservations System.

Why is GDS Distribution Important?

Over 90% of all agents rely solely on a GDS to make their hotel bookings*

greenarrow1 GDS distribution is important for all hotels because when travel agents make flight reservations for their clients, they have the option of adding a hotel reservation to the same itinerary. If your accommodation is not listed, you could be missing out on those reservations.

greenarrow1 Travel Agents often choose properties in a given area that are on the GDS' because it is much easier than booking direct. If your property is not listed, you could be losing reservations to one that is.

greenarrow1 If you are looking to increase your exposure to the Corporate market, GDS will put your property in front of the people who book their travel; Corporate Travel Agents, TMCs and the Online Booking Tools the companies are increasingly operating themselves use to book their own travel.

Auctas are GDS Provider to more than 200 hotels in Asia Pacific and have been providing GDS Representation to Australian and New Zealand Hotels for more than 10 years.

Internet Distribution System (IDS)

In addition to GDS, we also list your accommodation to hundreds of Internet Portals (IDS) such as Travelocity, Expedia, Opodo, Octopus, Priceline, Cheaptickets, Hotel.com and many more. IDS distribution lists your hotel on countless websites providing invaluable internet exposure.

IDS exposure is valuable to hotels even if bookings are not made in the channel the property was first viewed in. Recent research conducted by Cornell University has shown that customers often see a property on one or more of the OTAs and then book direct with the hotel or through another channel. This phenomenon is called "The Billboard Effect". Read more here.
