This will vary depending on how many extranets you currently manage, however updating your rates and inventory for all your sites will take about the same amount of time as managing one without extranet manager. So, if you have five extranets, you will be spending one fifth of the time you were previously spending.

No, but you can if you want to. Normally, there is one inventory per room type that is updated to all extranets. When a booking is made, the inventories on all sites are updated accordingly.

Can I have different rates on each extranet?

Yes, an unlimited number of rates can be loaded and distributed only to the extrenet(s) that you specify. You can also distribute the same rate to all extranets if you want to.
